Path to regular collaboration and maintainership — device-ui fixes and compatibility

Hi device-ui maintainers,

I’d like to contribute regularly to device-ui and learn how contributors progress toward collaborator or maintainer access.

In #437, I corrected the three Ericsson ringtone display names and revised the patch to preserve the original persisted RTTTL identifiers. The focused compatibility check confirmed that existing saved ringtone values still select their original entries. I’d be interested in continuing with UI fixes and settings-compatibility work.

Who would be the best person to discuss a small, ongoing maintenance role with? Are there particular issues or review tasks where help would be useful, and what contribution history would you expect before considering repository Write access or a maintainer role?

We don't hand out Write permissions or maintainer roles based on isolated pull requests. Becoming a collaborator here involves a sustained track record of complex feature development, deep architectural understanding, and helping triage issues over many months.
If you want to keep contributing, the best place to look is our Good First Issue or Help wanted backlog. Another way to start is by reproducing issues opened by other users.
