annoying, but workaround is to simply prompt: do not use the 'coordinator' agent-type use the 'adaptive-coordinator' , do not use 'analyst' use 'code-analyzer', do not use 'architect' use 'system-architect' in the affected session, and claude will use the correct agent names.

On my TODO list to post a PR to remedy the root cause of this.

Status: fixed tonight: draft PR #3182

Root cause confirmed: this isn't a bug in ruflo's agent-registry lookup itself — Claude Code's Task tool validates subagent_type against the live .claude/agents/**/*.md registry, and several bundled .claude/skills/*.md files ship example Task(name, description, type) calls using generic placeholder type strings ("coordinator", "architect", "analyst", "specialist") that were never registered agent names — so copying those examples verbatim reproduces exactly the "Agent type 'X' not found" error reported here. Found and fixed all 13 such occurrences across 3 skill files (github-multi-repo, hive-mind-advanced, github-release-management), replacing each with the real registered agent that matches its context (e.g. multi-repo-swarm, code-analyzer, repo-architect, queen-coordinator, release-manager, sync-coordinator). Added a regression test that fails against the old content and passes against the fix.
