MemTA

MemTA is a memory-side tensor architecture. This repository is the versioned Task ISA contract and a Rust golden model: MTM modules, a functional VM, a host runtime, and a textual assembler.

CLI

cargo run --bin memta -- --version

Assemble

cargo run --bin memta -- assemble tests/programs/dot.mta -o /tmp/dot.mtm
cargo run --bin memta -- assemble tests/programs/copy.mta -o /tmp/copy.mtm
cargo run --bin memta -- assemble tests/programs/reduce.mta -o /tmp/reduce.mtm

Disassemble

cargo run --bin memta -- disassemble /tmp/dot.mtm
cargo run --bin memta -- disassemble /tmp/copy.mtm
cargo run --bin memta -- disassemble /tmp/reduce.mtm

Run

cargo run --bin memta -- run /tmp/dot.mtm --print 2
cargo run --bin memta -- run /tmp/dot.mtm --print 2 --metrics
cargo run --bin memta -- run /tmp/copy.mtm --print 1
cargo run --bin memta -- run /tmp/reduce.mtm --print 1

run registers the module's regions, writes their data, submits the command buffer, and prints requested regions through the host runtime. --metrics prints the cumulative counters after the --print lines.

Assembler, module, and runtime errors print to stderr and exit 1. Usage errors exit 2.

Vector search

cargo run --example vector_search

Local checks

cargo fmt --check
cargo clippy --all-targets -- -D warnings
cargo test

See the architecture boundary, the v0 Task ISA, the MTM container, the assembler, and the v0 host runtime.
