In hbase-thirdparty version 0.23.0 is used. Are these 2 versions compatible? Should we also bump the version in thirdparty or downgrade here to 0.23.0 if there are no direct CVEs in that version?

Unfortunately 0.23.0 Python Thrift version also contains CVE-s so downgrading that would not be too good.

I started to upgrade the Java Thrift 0.24.0 because of CVE-s here:
apache/hbase-thirdparty#163

I'll maybe try out this updated Python thrift example with HBase using libthrift 0.23.0. If the Python example runs fine, I guess we could merge this.

Otherwise we can wait until hbase-thrift module moves to 0.24.0.
