I checked CVS & non-CVS devices.
Intel CVS configurations are not necessary.
Could you help to check line 18, 19, 33 & 34 still needed for currently media control?

this PR is working on MTL & ARL devices with different sensors, like ov08x & ov05c etc.

The patch doesn't remove CVS/Sabre support, it removes the hardcoded "Intel CVS" links from the sensor's static media config XML, and instead relies on MediaControl.cpp to dynamically re-target links to the ISVC/Sabre entity at runtime, only if it's actually present.

If no CVS/Sabre device is present (bypass rework, per your diagram) → the fmt entries referencing it are skipped (continue), and the driver just uses the direct sensor → IPU6 CSI-2 link that's now in the XML.

If CVS/Sabre is present, ivsc is found, and it patches the format's entity/entityName fields to point at the real ISVC device, effectively re-inserting it into the pipeline at runtime.

Since this patch has been already tested with CVS and without CVS devices. hence approving.
