John Andrés Trujillo · Senior Mobile Engineer (iOS · Android) who ships with AI agents

I build native mobile apps, plus the backend and AI that run behind them. I've worked remotely from Quito, Ecuador since 2015.

  • 10+ years shipping software, 7+ on iOS in production. Swift, SwiftUI, Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, plus Flutter and React Native when the project needs them.
  • Long engagements. Almost 6 years with one firm and 3 with another. I stay, and I keep the code healthy after launch.
  • AI in production, not in slides. I built an AI meeting-intelligence platform that clients have used every day since June 2025: capture apps, Python/FastAPI services, Gemini transcription and extraction behind an evidence gate.
  • Open source. 600+ commits to Code on the Go, an IDE for building Android apps on an Android phone, including its Gemini agent.

How I work: remote, overlapping US hours, written updates, tests and release gates before anything ships.
