currently, the production pods use the add-advocate-plugins branch which points to @sophiebsw's fork of nixpkgs. until the changes are upstreamed, since we should not be maintaining our own nixpkgs fork in prod long term, or separated from nixpkgs and merged into main, this updates the flake to nixos-26.05 using the tarball (removes dependency on github).
