Security: Update Ruby to address critical Regexp vulnerabilities
Ruby released security fixes on October 23, 2026, addressing four GitLab CVEs related to memory corruption and integer overflows in the Onigmo regular expression engine: CVE-2026-89078, CVE-2026-93577, CVE-2026-97229, and CVE-2026-110264.
Under certain conditions, specially crafted regular expression patterns supplied by an attacker can trigger memory corruption during compilation and potentially lead to remote code execution.
Applications that compile regular expressions from untrusted input may be affected. The Ruby team recommends upgrading to a patched release.
This MR updates Ruby to include the upstream security fixes and helps keep the Docker image protected against these vulnerabilities.
