Doesn't start on a recent installation of Nobara Linux #443
It came up with this window when I tried to launch the appimage from the command line:
Also there is no Friture directory within ~/.local/state.
Here is the text from the image:
Oops! Something went wrong!

OSError: PortAudio library not found
Hope you find this helpful and useful! I'll try again using macOS or Windows .
I have a similar problem. The same final error is PortAudio library not found, the line numbers of the errors are different. Using RHEL 9, friture-0.42-20201122.AppImage throws:
(sounddevice-env) gcl1r25@uos-018254:~/Downloads $ ./friture-0.42-20201122.AppImage

OSError: PortAudio library not found
I also tried deactivating the conda environment that I had running, although I'm sure that can't be making a difference. If I use the more up to date AppImage (friture-0.54-20250914.AppImage), the error is different:
[PYI-220942:ERROR] Failed to load Python shared library '/tmp/.mount_friturbAkKlo/usr/bin/_internal/libpython3.11.so.1.0': /lib64/libm.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.35' not found (required by /tmp/.mount_friturbAkKlo/usr/bin/_internal/libpython3.11.so.1.0)
