GitHub's OAuth callback now sends an `iss` param (RFC 9207). openid-client validates it against the provider's configured issuer, which next-auth's built-in GithubProvider never sets - causing every GitHub sign-in to fail with OAuthCallbackError "issuer must be configured on the issuer".
